I am a 29 year old military wife who hales from the southeastern United States who was lucky enough to fall for a man who I find an awful hard time finding fault with. Along the way, our little family has included a grumpy but wonderful chinchilla who has recently passed due to old age, a wolfdog, a border collie/sheltie mix, and now a rottie mix. We now have two chinchilla brothers, one beige and one white mosaic, and they are quite a handful. Obviously, we love animals, and we're grateful for our little strange family unit.

As for the art part of this creature known as Robin Powell, it's as big a part of me as anything else is. I love to draw, to create, to write, to question, and to make people happy with my art. For the most part, I am a traditional artist meaning that my work is done in traditional media such as markers, colored pencils, paints, and inks. I recently started trying to get a bit better with Photoshop and other digital programs, and I think I might have found a way of doing digital art that works for me. As for subject matter, I love illustrating...that means taking an idea, a scene, a story and making it into a visual representation of a thought. That is my true love. I also enjoy character design.

For other hobbies, I like to read, to write, to make essential oil blends and incense, to cook, and long walks and hiking. I love horses, gardening, walking through the woods, and other things I grew up doing as a child. I'm a nerd at heart, and if you talk Star Wars, Marvel Comics, Firefly, or anything else of a scifi or fantasy nature with me, I'll be super happy.

That's about it. I'm a simple creature.
