Soooo, after eight years of owning a dog who is my sole responsibility, I have finally discovered (I am ashamed to say) through trial and error that it's simply easier to just get in the damn bathtub with him while I give him a bath.  Seriously.  Would have thought that to be a nasty mess with a 75 pound GSD mix in a tub with a fully clothed not-so-little (okay, fat) woman in tub also, attempting to give him a much needed bath.  Oh no.  Worked out much better.  He even just laid down in the damn water as though I was giving him a massage.  Ugh.  Anyway, from now own, dog bathing day will be a family ordeal.  Lesson learned.

Artwise, gah, it's been a while for my DA page at least.  Most of the stuff I have been uploading lately is stuff that I feel is decent enough to crosspost from my FA account.  Soooooo, yeah, I don't work that fast, guys...it's just I'm catching up.  Some of the stuff is brand spankin' new, but not that much of it.  That being said, I'll go ahead and name off some stuff you can expect to see:

-Commission work and trades from my current queue over on FA (need to get those done pronto)

-Star Wars Fanart:  Yeah, if you're gonna have a hissyfit over me fangirling over pretty, blue-eyed, blonde-haired Jedi boiz and their galaxy far, far away, you might wanna go ahead and unwatch me.  Or you could just roll your eyes and hope I'll draw something else sooner or later.

-Red Shield's Journey:  An original story chronicling the life and times of a young satyr (a King shepherd/goat hybrid) after she moves to a small town in North Carolina to hopefully revitalize some family land.  Having always been a loner before and never really having fit in anywhere, she begins to make some odd friends in the local area.  But perhaps the strangest comes in the form of a mysterious young man she meets while wandering in her own woods.  How does he know so much about her even though they never met before and why does she feel like she's known him forever?

-On The Red Path: The Tales of Okari Tsukino:  One of my oldest characters, Okari actually gets drawn pretty much the least, but her story, oddly enough, is the most developed.  Her story will follow her life in the Edo period of Japan from her days as an up and coming maiko, to losing her family in the most tragic way, and trading a fan for her father's sword.  A tale of revenge and hopefully eventual redemption.

-Chronicles of the Wind Wielder:  Yeah, yeah, I know, been working on Wielder's feral storyline for years, but it'll continue.  Some of the characters have changed, things will be getting a revamp, but it'll still deal with the journey of a strange woof.

-ZOMG art of my favorite OTPs!!!:  I ship things.  I ship odd things.  I will ruin the following for you:  Balto, Alpha and Omega, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, Ginga Densetsu Weed, Kingdom Hearts, and a few others.  Stay tuned for the ruination of your childhood.

-Lord of the Rings/Hobbit Crap:  Yeaaaaaaah, what can I say?  One of my besties is a Tolkien fan, and I liked the books.  I can like Star Wars and The Rings, okay?  Okay.  Plus, Thorin...I will Mary Sue mah ass with him somehow.

-I turn everything into furries.  Get ready for me to ruin the following for you:  NCIS, Firefly, Marvel Characters, and old ass movies like True Grit and The Dirty Dozen.  Yes, I know, I'm strange.

Okay, there's a rundown of shit that will be coming.  You have been warned. 

 

Well, I guess I never did say I'd be gone forever, right?  Right.  I always did try to give "props" to DeviantART being the place where I started online, and I had always told my close friends that if DA got to the point where I could navigate it again without pulling my hair out, I'd come back.

...so, maybe I'll learn to navigate it now.  I still got a lot of old friends over here who don't really upload anywhere else, and I know it's a damn pain to email tons of files back and forth to get some feedback, so, eh, I got time on my hands to upload here and on FA, so, why not?

I got my start in the online art world/furry community here on DA.  I'm grateful for that and those of you who kindly allowed me into your fold.  Keggy, Tygris, Glitterwing...you guys were my first buds, and while I don't talk to you often, I still think of you all the time.  Thanks for everything.

DA has changed so much, and every time in changes, I get more frustrated with it.  Really, I'm just not in love with the site anymore.  This is the first time I've allowed my subscription to run out, and it's for a reason.

Yay!  Now I have bronchitis!  Fun fun fun!  Thankfully, it was only in my trachea, so it hasn't moved down into my lungs yet.  Doc gave me a Z pack, which is ALWAYS fun, and told me to drink lots of fluids and take some decongestant.  Funny thing is that I don't feel particularly congested, and the only reason I went into the ER was shortness of breath.  Oh well, doctor knows best, hopefully.

Relatively little going on that's interesting, guys.  Husband and I had a relatively uneventful Memorial Day weekend (thanks to all of you who serve in the US military or who support them).  Just sat around and watched movies for the most part, which was nice since we've been going non-stop since we moved down here.  We also bought a grill, and it works GREAT!

Other than that, just working on art and trying hard not to get sicker.

Rules For commissioning Me
---I won't do certain pieces that depict things such as rape, scat, watersports, "cub" porn, or highly offensive subjects.  If you have a question about what I will and won't do, note me.  
---I will draw porn (just note me your idea, and I'll let you know whether or not I'd be comfortable with it), violence, gore, etc.  Just note me if you have any questions.
---I will draw your character with one of my own or someone else's as long as you have their permission.  
---Your piece might take a long time to get to.  I display my list publically so that all of my commissioners can see that I am working on the list.  You will be given several methods to contact me upon payment of your commission.  You have the right to use any and all of those methods, please do so.  However, keep in mind that real life does happen, and I have to tend to it just like anyone else would.
---I reserve the right to turn down ANY commission for ANY reason.  I don't often do this, but I figure it's just a good thing to write so that no one has a right to a massive case of butthurt in case I do have to exercise this right one day.
---You have the right ask for changes to your commission UNTIL you approve the sketch.  After that, unless I have made an error in coloring or the like, it's set in stone.  Keep this in mind when approving the sketch.  However, often times, after I transfer the figures to the final paper, I will scan the piece with the background penciled in just to make sure everything is fine from there.

Payment and Shipping
---Methods of payment I will accept include well concealed cash (USD only), money order, and paypal.  However, with paypal, I require that you pay an extra $5.00 because paypal charges me to use it.  That said, if you use paypal, I will use the leftover money for insurance on your package.
---I will not start your commission until at least part of it is paid for.  If you want to make several payments, that is fine, but the first payment will be calculated as if all you were paying for was a sketch.  This price is negotiable.
---I ship all of my commissions in either cardboard mailers or bubble mailers (mainly for badges) so that the postal service doesn't ruin them.
---Shipping for orders within the USA is $3.  International shipping is $5.
---I WILL NOT INSURE YOUR PIECE UNLESS YOU GIVE ME THE MONEY TO DO SO.  The exception for this rule is if you paid with paypal.  That being said, I have not had a commission get

So, it's been a while since I updated my DA journal.  Admittedly, I'm really not that active here in a social sense anymore.  I still post my work here, I still leave comments to the folks who aren't on FA, I still respond to notes...albeit slowly over here, and I am very much alive and working.  It's high time that I update this commission list here.  Quite a bit has been finished since I last updated it, and a few new ones have been added.

I might be opening up some more slots in the next few days.  I'll announce it here when I do.
